Responsibility for content

The content of this site is prepared with care and reflects professional opinion at the time of writing. It is general information, not specific security, legal, or compliance advice for your organisation. No guarantee is given that all content is complete or current, and it may be updated or removed without notice.

Advisory engagements

Scope of advice and liability

What an engagement covers

Steady Security s.r.o. advises on, designs, and implements information security measures. Which risks a client accepts, which measures a client funds, and how a client runs its business remain decisions of that client's management. A client's own legal duties, including those under NIS2, the GDPR, and comparable law, stay with the client and cannot be transferred to an external advisor.

No guarantee against incidents

No advisory, assessment, testing, or implementation work is a guarantee that a security incident will not happen. Steady Security s.r.o. does not assume accountability for a client being attacked or compromised, for a personal data breach, for service disruption or data loss, for financial or reputational damage, or for any regulatory finding or penalty arising from such events. Security work reduces how likely these events are and how much they cost when they happen. It cannot remove them.

The engagement contract governs

This page is general information about the website and its operator. The terms of any specific engagement, including scope, responsibilities, warranties, and limitation of liability, are set out in the contract for that engagement. Where this page and a signed contract differ, the contract applies.
